Body:
The idea for the working project is to be presented to universities and colleges throughout the nation and world; the opportunity to present a new idea to the present teaching curriculum. Presently schools educate individuals with little opportunity for the students to work collectively on a long term, common goal. Each individual picks some sort of a direction he/she would like to aim their education towards for their own personal benefit. This is usually done through the learning and understanding of a variety of subjects concentrating towards a future degree highlighted from those picked subjects. Another possible scenario that could be incorporated into an individual’s field of study would be; students studying and working together while at the same time focusing on a common, longtime goal for the world as a whole, in addition to completing their own personal goals, with the schools and universities overseeing the entire program.
The University of Pennsylvania decides to accept the idea of setting up a program that will assist and allow the students to organize themselves in choosing a world problem that they feel they would like to work on permanent solutions for.
During the time period the students are in enrolled in school, the amount of time spent working in the program will be credited towards their field of study. It shall be the decision of the University to grant credit towards an elective or a particular major depending on what is being required of the students while they are working on the project.
Students must make a commitment to the project exactly like their commitment to other electives and classes in order to obtain credit towards their major/minor of the degree they happen to be working towards.
The university will arrange for this by adjusting the course curriculum.
International Overseeing Panel:
On an international scale, a panel or board needs to be established in a central location in the country or world. This panel would not need to hold much power and it doesn’t have to be very large.
1) List the overseeing panel’s necessary function. To keep track of each school that is enrolled in what program; the specific problem they chose to solve, progress they are making and the direction they intend to go, all other necessary information, etc.
A) How will the panel be created? The target school or schools (in the beginning of the program) can take it upon themselves to create the panel; assigning numbers of workers, salaries to be implemented, location, necessary hardware & tools needed, etc.
B) How will the overseeing panel be funded? Each participating school will contribute a percentage to the necessary operating budget of the overseeing panel. As time goes forward, the number of schools participating would increase, thereby decreasing each schools financial responsibility to the over seeing panel.
C) How will the panel receive its information? It shall be the responsibility of the student council in charge of the project to continually update the panel with any requests it has for any information needed to stay on track of monitoring each schools ongoing project.
D) After a period of time, the panel will be able to better direct itself and what it needs and requires from the schools, students, etc. in terms of information required.
E) When another school is requiring updated progress on that particular problem, it will contact this panel. If that school later decides they would like to work in conjunction with the original school/solution creator, this panel can act as an intermediary of assistance to get them acquainted and started.
What schools can do in order to implement this program:
1) Instruct the schools faculty, administration, etc., of the decision to implement this program.
The university provides a classroom and an educator to assist in overseeing the progress of the project as well as the progress of each student.
The size of the class and the amount of times that the class meets per week will depend on:
A) In the beginning; direction from the university,
B) the number of students interested at any one time,
C) the amount of progress being made, and as time goes on will be amended accordingly.
D) etc.
2) Schools will need to re-arrange their course curriculum.
Schools will need to adjust their course work in ways that will allow the students to obtain credit for the time and work they have put forth into the creation and ongoing workable solutions to the problem they have decided to take upon themselves. This will be applied to their curriculum electives, minor or even their major depending on the course of study the school sets up as to the requirements needed for graduation. Discuss classroom procedures, classroom participation, participation within the outside community, direction of growth toward what the specific project needs to gain the next foothold for progress to continue, etc.
3) Create the tasks of the faculty to be in charge of overseeing, assisting, etc., of the students as they work towards the creation and ongoing solutions to the problem they have chosen. The students are ultimately in charge of the direction and growth of the project; the instructor will be overseeing and assisting only. However, the students will always need the guidance, direction, etc., of the schools faculty.
4) Discuss with the faculty, administration and students the role and functions of the over seeing panel. Discuss the ongoing progress reports to be given to the overseeing panel; (information needed, number of students enrolled, goals created, progress obtained and updated, etc.)
5) Discuss how the project will be directed in the schools.
Each project will be directed differently depending on the number of students involved, direction they wish to pursue, amount of time willing and desiring to participate. (i.e.) Early on in the students scholastic career they may only contribute the equivalent of one class per semester. Later, as their years at school progress, they could be putting in many more cumulative hours, working more towards the completion of the project all built around their field of study, working with business plans for new products, services and directions of growth needed for participating companies and industries, governmental legislation worldwide, community involvement, etc.
6) Discuss how the school will introduce the concept to the entire student body, creating the introduction of the program and provide the interest to the students for their enrollment.
Discuss the possibility of the favorable implications of implementing a successful program; being a major contributing factor in helping to find workable solutions to some of the worlds toughest ongoing problems, positive increases in future enrollment potential, colleges themselves becoming more popular among working and lower class sectors.
Students gain a greater interest in their education. Instead of being isolated in their respective schools during their typical course requirements for a period of three to six years, they are actually having the opportunity and putting in the hours, as much as they choose or not choose, to work and assist on the worlds, real life, toughest problems, along with other students from around the world and the business communities, while getting their education.
Students can have a better understanding of how the world interacts by working with businesses and worldwide communities by assisting in the process of solving the world’s, largest, ongoing problems.
Students can actually have the opportunity to possibly work themselves directly into a job after graduation by continuing to work on the projects they previously chose to assist in solving long ago; through already making the contacts and working with the companies, businesses and governments and international communities that have been working on the same goals they set forth years before.
7) Discuss how the university will assist the students in collectively choosing a world problem that the students would like to work on and create manageable ongoing solutions to. The schools will need to create an opportunity for the students to learn of the program being implemented. It can be accomplished through an addendum to the curriculum in a write up as this. It can be sent as a paper fully explaining in detail the ideas and how things would begin working, sent to each student prior to registering for classes. Imaginatively, each school will have their own way of beginning the implementation of the program to their curriculum. The decision is ultimately up to the students collectively to pick a problem they would like to work on. It should be an elective process carried out through a voting system and assisted with the schools help. However, it will always be under the guidance of the universities and assisted through their educational process.
8) Discuss how the number of students will be set up/arranged/organized to begin working on the problem chosen. Students will be in charge of the progression and completion of the project; (i.e.) a hierarchy of students: from freshman all the way to seniors and including graduate programs, acting as leaders of the project, project managers, employees and accounting officials, keeping track of time and credit for each student, costs associated with, finances needed, etc.
9) How will classes be led and progress be directed?
In their own student council government through a democratic process of electing class leaders, voting on the direction to go forth and the assignment of tasks to be completed. They will decide what positions need to be created and what students will fill those positions, individuals who need to be enrolled, potential businesses to meet with, governmental bodies to talk to, new legislation that may need to be formed, world wide programs that may need to be devised and implemented. If new products need to be made, what types of companies would make them, students assisting in developing a business plan to convince companies and industries of the market potential of the direction of growth the project is headed towards. After time, the project will become large and the interaction with assisting colleges and universities working toward the same goal will be very beneficial. All of this, happening while the students are earning their education.
The interaction between the schools, the students and the business communities:
As the program proceeds there will be endless situations where the students will need to work together with the business community. Student representatives of the program will set up the necessary meetings with local and international businesses explaining the workings of the program, progress currently made, goals set forth, etc. It is the job of the students to register the business in question. If services needed to be made available or new products need to be invented, the students need to show the business community where the markets for theses goods and services will be originated from. The programs need to pay for themselves. Businesses will need to be shown the potential for growth in new industries, accepting new methods and ideas. New ideas such as the one below:
For example: One part of the solution for solving World Hunger could be the oceans food source. However, right now there is no one managing guideline for managing and harvesting the potential food source of the world’s oceans. With nearly ¾’s of the planet covered by the world’s oceans, the food source to feed the entire world population has the potential to be limitless. However, there is no managing authority governing the food source of the oceans. The result is that entire populations of whole species of fish are being wiped out at catastrophic rates with no possibility of themselves sustaining any ability to repopulate their masses. Entire sections of oceans are being wiped out of fish and sea life. The oceans and all its life have been around for millions of years. However, in only the last 50 years mankind has over fished by harvesting entire sections of the oceans. It would take hundreds of years to repopulate these areas to normal amounts if they were to be left entirely on their own. If this absolute mismanagement of the oceans continues, in less than 25 years the oceans could become a vast wasteland of emptiness, thus depleting a food source that had the ability to sustain the entire planet indefinitely. What needs to take place is a change in the way of thinking.
The Japanese are some of the world’s largest fish farmers. However, the crew members on the ships that harvest the oceans food source have no deep desire to empty the oceans of sustainable life. They only want a stable job to support their families. Why not turn the oceans into the world’s largest farm; thereby sustaining life, allowing the oceans and mankind to grow together. In this situation, the Japanese fisherman would be assisting in managing the food source of the oceans and fishing at a more profitable level. At sea today, right now, there are ships working that are harvesting one hundred tons of fish per hour. And countries all over the world are using different guide lines for doing so. If we can just change the method of the harvesting to the idea of farming this will work. An example of this could be: place the ships and crew on a 12 month rotation, where for one month they are in charge of restocking certain areas of the oceans, for the next month they are in charge of policing certain areas of the oceans, then the next month they are in charge of fishing certain areas, all of this rotating all around the world, each month of the years, all fishing countries working together to manage the food source. It can still have the ability to work as a free market economy, with the larger companies working more areas with more crew and more ships; smaller companies working with less.
If the goal is to manage the food source of the oceans, to let the oceans and its life live and thrive instead of emptying them, a world wide managing authority needs to be installed for the whole planet. One fishing company does not have the ability to change this. It is not their job to invent new farming methods. One country does not have the ability to change world policy. Organizations like Green Peace stand for great ideas, however they do not have the ability to convince whole nations to work together to implement a world wide managing authority over the oceans. All they have the ability to do is to ask for change. Individual businesses and companies alone don’t have the financial resources to create the ideas and implement the programs world wide for this to occur. But several universities working together, with hundreds or thousands of students around the world, they have the time and the creativity needed for this large an undertaking, to identify the problems, create the ideas independent for their own areas, invent the new legislations, develop the plans, business plans for products, services, and to study how this can be a profitable enterprise for all mankind, and the whole time this is being accomplished the students are getting their individual education. (All that needs to take place is a new way of thinking.)
The role of governments in this type of program:
With a free market and democratic society, the government actually has a very little to do with the development and continuation of such a program. However, problems of this caliber affect the world as a whole, so governments would see their role not in the program itself but in helping to make the results occur. Colleges and universities will develop the program as an addition to their current curriculum. Students will discuss with businesses and corporations locally and internationally where they see a void in the market place. Through massive amounts of creativity, with hundreds and thousands of students working collectively, to come up with new and creative ideas for solving the major problems of the world. Whether that would be in future goods not yet developed or services not yet being offered, or the like simply needing a change of course.
At times new legislation would possibly need to be formulated; for example, a worldwide ban on the absolute depletion of the fish population. For this governments would have to be involved. But the students, through their own education and learning could work on creating the ideas needed, devising the legislation required and assisting in the whole process of having it becoming implemented through out the world. What better learning process for a political science degree than to be working directly with local and foreign governments and coordinating it all within an international business community? All in an effort to enhance the oceans of the world.
Problems of this caliber can not be solved by one company or one nation. They can’t be solved individually. Small amounts of people go to great effort and accomplish incredible feats feeding needed sections of the world. But World Hunger will never be solved by doing so one piece at a time. At that pace millions of people will starve to death, and abundant food sources will be depleted or not distributed sufficiently and profitably. These are the problems that affect every individual and every nation simultaneously.
The project, for example, To End Illiteracy throughout The World; will not be solved in the time span of one semester. It can feasibly take an ongoing 10 year commitment and then continuous programs that would have been set up throughout the world. This is a change in the present teaching curriculum. Although, this may seem insurmountable, in actuality, it is quite simple. Simply allow and guide the students to interact with businesses locally and internationally, communities, various forms of governments, etc. In reality, it is exactly what colleges and universities are in the business of already doing. Trying to teach young people how to interact with the world and make productive use of themselves in a worldwide society while making the world a better place for all. All that needs to happen is a change in the way of thinking.
How developing the idea can support itself:
As was first discussed, this project will not work unless it has the potential to support itself and make a profit for everyone involved. A charity project has a temporary life. A profitable business has the potential to sustain itself indefinitely. What was not discussed is this. How does the idea make a profit for the person(s) and organization who will take the chance and develop it? Also, how can the schools afford to implement this new program into their curriculum?
Upon a schools acceptance of implementing the program into their curriculum, during a student’s enrollment into the beginning of their yearly class schedule, the student is charged an annual fee of $200.00. It is a $200.00 fee. One college book often costs that amount. Seeing that students today are easily paying anywhere from $2,000.00 to $20,000.00 for annual tuition, a small fee of $200 would be very reasonable to have the opportunity to participate in such a program. The$200.00 gets split two ways. $100 goes back to the organization that has developed the project and would probably be overseeing the International Panel, at least to some extent. The other $100 goes directly to the school where the student has entered into the program to help pay operating costs. Below is a schedule of how this would work.

If most students spend on average of four years in school, once enrolled they will more than likely continue their participation since it has now become part of their education. Let’s take for example just the participation of the eight Ivy League Schools, five years from today, with an approximation of only 50,000 students overall at only 10% enrollment in the plan; a very conservative figure, seeing there are more than 50,000 students in the eight Ivy League Schools combined. (2011 enrollment totals of all 8 schools = 134,000 students)

Not every student will enroll. But if 25% of them do (134,000 x 25% = 33,500 x $100), the eight Ivy League schools alone make and share $3,350,000 pr year, just to pay for operating expenses. Not to mention, notoriety, higher enrollment and anything that would go along with that.
How to build a $950 million, per year, company:
The overall intention here is for a world wide program. There are currently 15 million people enrolled in colleges either full or part-time across the United States alone. There are 95 million people currently enrolled in colleges and universities worldwide. Just 10% of the worlds college students is 9.5 million students. Below is 1%, only 1/95th of the current enrollment of college students *. This would continue and grow, every year.

If there are 15 million college students in this country alone, in 10 years from today, if only 10% of them enrolled, the Gross Profit would be…(1,500,000 X $100.00 = $150,000,000……Per Year & continuing)
We have not taken into account any schools participating throughout the rest of the world. However, at 95 million college students, at only 10% enrollment, in 10 years from today, that figure would be… (9,500,000 X $100.00 = $950,000,000……Per Year & continuing)
That money, $100 per student, goes back to the individuals, partners and private equity fund that originated the plan. The same amount goes to and gets split between the schools participating in the program to fund the program. In addition to this, it continues on in perpetuity. What is ultimately better is that we all had a big share in a plan that can actually make the world a much better place for many years to come. Now isn’t this much better than simply going about our own lives individually?
To take this to the next level:
First of all, I hope through my writings, I have conveyed my belief in this idea.
The first problem I am having is the ability to openly discuss this with other individuals and organizations. To the people and organizations I need to talk to, I am dismissed, too small; just another person with an idea. In the past, I have thought it wise to try and protect my idea. But asking people to read or consider an idea that involves, using the worlds college students in creating ideas with the possibility of solving world hunger, supplying fresh drinking water to planet, or managing the oceans food source, by agreeing to sign a non-disclosure agreement first, has rendered many looks of disbelief.
I need to be able to convince people that what I have is legitimate. I would like, to not loose the rights to my idea. However, opening a website to the world, I have probably assured myself of just that.
The ultimate goal is the World Economic Conference in Davos, Switzerland.
To get there, we need a name, a large private equity fund, or someone like, The Gates Foundation, T. Boone Pickens, The Clinton Foundation, etc. However, over the course of years of attempts, I have made no progress with them. My next idea would be to enlist the support of a well known public figure. One that would not be hung up upon by the above names, when a conversation is attempted. But I have been unsuccessful there as well.
The WEC, has the ability to convince the target universities of the world to give us an audience. Allow us to explain the concepts and most likely, convince them to place a pilot program in effect. No matter how much I would like to, one does not simply walk in to the World Economic Conference and receive an audience.
University Costs:
Ideas as to some of the costs and work to be attributed to a typical University in order to incorporate the idea, as well as, how to offset the costs that may be holding them back from acceptance. (Dr. Christopher L. Culp, a professor at The University of Chicago Business School, approved of this list and the forth coming ideas pertaining to...)
High faculty & admin time:
- president, department heads, board of trustees, etc., time spent educated them of how the project will evolve
- time spent to determine the workings of the project and how it will evolve into the daily life of the school along with it’s present educational goals and curriculum
- time spent educating instructor and PHD students as to how the idea will work, be managed by them, etc.,
Instructor & PHD grad students to lead class:
- direct class to lead students with being creative in determining problems with present idea, direction, etc.,
- manage weekly update to overseeing panel, progress achieved weekly, direction of growth, etc, ( students are tasked with this, instructors are responsible for the final approval each week)
Class room & lecture hall facilities:
- depends on the enrollment numbers and should increase over time; availability of hall, cleaning rooms afterwards, ongoing maintenance of hall, etc.,
Administrative:
- write up & design of project/idea, send to all students in summer for future registration packets, detailing nature of project & how it will work, carry forth, cost per student, etc.,
- additional personnel in admin office to answer questions for students interested when they call and want to learn more @ the nature and working of the project/idea
- office space & supplies to house admin office(s) for the above: desks, computers, fax, copy machines, etc., chairs, phones & lines, file cabinets, waste baskets, etc.,
- costs & time for schools to decide how to determine curriculum and credit that will be applied to students field of study for participating in project
- as enrollment in project increases costs per student will increase
- PHD assigned to instructor, assigned to dept. head to manage the progress of the project and how it is effecting the university,
Additional ideas on how Universities can offset cost:
Depending on how large a business that is involved in a particular project, a portion could be calculated to contribute to the university. One of the student’s additional responsibilities and challenges, is to understand what costs the universities are labeled with to run their own program. The program needs to be funded; partly through the students enrollment fee and other parts could come from the businesses that are receiving benefit from working with the students.
The idea here is not for a problem to become and remain a problem. But to look at the problem as an opportunity. To create profitable solutions for all involved.
Businesses will contribute because of new business being created, businesses use of numerous students working in research fields of new products, etc., The costs of having students performing tasks as these will be much less than having additional employees at full salaries plus benefits performing them. Smaller businesses will contribute less, (i.e) something of a per capita revenue generating idea. Students will need to justify the cost charged to the business field that the university incurs in having the project in operation. It is not intended to be a money making plan for the schools involved but to re-coup the costs associated with the ongoing operation of the project/idea.
The fee/charge to the universities to help them offset the costs of the project will be tax deductible for businesses. Governments will go along with the plan because many of the major social issues and problems of the world and their countries are being worked on, resulting in governments ultimately being charged with less costs and responsibility of these issues.
Universities make increase enrollment, name recognition to be involved in problem solving aspects of world issues resulting in more students wanting to attend their facilities, etc.
Problems to solve:
- Universities are already in direct competition between one another.
- Each PHD student working on his/her idea must be working on an original idea. (How could the time they are spending on this project work towards there particular field of study?)
- Professors make most of their money in research other than actually teaching students.
- Students take up the professor’s time that they could otherwise be using for furthering their own research and benefiting their economic finances. (Bluntly – the last thing professors really want to do is to teach students; it is something they are stuck doing.)
IDEA – if a professor from the U of Penn is on the board and acting as an instructor in a world class problem assisting in solving an idea that makes considerable progress or finds a solution, he gets the name recognition as well as the school. This ultimately results in his/her and the schools own financial well being. If schools and professors make their money more in research than anything else, wouldn’t they just love to have their name on the list of names associated with curing cancer, finding a cure for AIDS. An economics professor and school having their name on the list for solving the economic issues pertaining to less developed countries receiving drugs, medical benefits and health solutions from more developed countries assisting in their own stability to sustain their own well being in the economic market place. For a school that teaches business management, a professor that writes management books, being on the list of problem solvers coming up with workable ongoing solutions creating a world wide managerial organization that solves and manages the food source of the world’s oceans.
Conclusion:
Why this would work, as opposed to one or just a few of the worlds top countries, like the big six, eight, etc, trying to implement a plan as this?
First. For any government, this is not what they do, nor would they be good at it. Governments don’t start business ventures. And they certainly shouldn’t be in the arena of trying to manage them.
The individual country governments are too often looked upon to be the ones supposedly responsible to solve these problems. Yet it is governments that have the least amount of money, the least amount of creative influence needed for sustainable solutions to these problems. When one government comes up with a solution for any type of large world wide problem, whether it be viable or not, too often it can be looked at by other governments, countries and peoples of such, as a political move and will be end up not being a successful endeavor.
When one or two or just the biggest, most powerful countries attempt to implement a plan, too many other countries would possibly look at it with contempt. Example: the US has only been in existence for less than 250 years. One of the reasons countries like Afghanistan don’t like to hear the US’ policies, is they regard the US as being too young; like a four year old telling an adult what to do. Afghanistan has been around for several thousand years and long ago was a world power. They disdain from the fact that currently they are not considered a world power when they still regard themselves as holding that status. Without too much depth into this concept, consider another example. The Rules of the Road for ships at sea.
Ships at sea do not need to talk to one another verbally or even speak the same verbal language in oder to be able to navigate in meeting, crossing or passing situations. They can do so safely at even close ranges. There are Rules of the Road at Sea that all ships know and follow with out question. These were brought of not by one or two countries where it could be thought of or considered a political agenda, but by a neutral organization with no political ties to one main country; The IMO, Intentional Maritime Organization.
The rules work, and all ships follow them with out question. Granted there is an accident or incident here and there, but by and large they work. The rules work and were allowed to be implemented because it was a neutral organization implementing them. Now take for example a program as we are discussing. Why will it work? It will work most because it is a neutral organization of college students from countries all over the world. There is no one or two or set of powerful countries hosting it, that could be misconstrued as voicing their own political agenda.
Managing the worlds oceans as a food source to feed the entire world on a global farming scale by only a few countries will lead to many countries feeling left out of their right of fair say. But let an organization that is completely neutral from one or even many countries, come up with a fair solution that will work for all, and it has a far greater chance of being accepted by all; even if it happened to be the same written idea. Also, the neutral organization that is being spoke about here, would likely be made up of individuals from many countries, much more than just the present world powers. It will also be made up by their own students. Students who will likely become leaders in their own countries one day.
The Japanese are one of the biggest destroyers of the population of sharks throughout the world. They kill millions of sharks each year by catching them, cutting off their fins and tossing their live bodies back to the sea only to die, unable to fend or defend for themselves, just for their pleasure of making shark fin soup. Not to judge or pick on the Japanese, but to make an example. The Japanese do not want to eliminate sharks throughout the world. They want their tradition of their delicacy to continue. However, at the rate they are going they will in a relatively short period of time, destroy what they want to continue.
A neutral organization could come with a plan that, for example, would have fisherman all over the world of the seas, fishing for six months, policing and monitoring the ocean for three months and re-stocking for three months. Yet, if say the United States, Russia and Australia alone came up with such a plan, most countries would dismiss it and continue to carry on.
Stand on a street corner in Manhattan and watch traffic for ten minutes. You will see thousands of cars all moving in different directions and for the most part, not bumping into one another and successfully getting to their destinations. This works because everyone knows there is a set of rules that all must obey because simply there are too many people for any set of them to be selfish and carryon in their own merry way. Yet, it is not like the city of Chicago came up with a set of rules that the whole country must obey. Had this been the case, the city of Atlanta would have said, “Why does Chicago get to make the rules?”
Instead, there is a neutral organization which shows no political agenda for any one cause. Just to make a set of rules that work for everyone and allow the people of the country to carry on in their normal lives, indefinitely.
College Students: The largest collection of creative minds in the entire world.
CS haven’t gone through years of life watching and seeing the world as it is...yet.
They still have more of a belief in themselves and in the world that things can be changed and improved.
They haven’t failed time and again and watched their ideas get thrown down and dismantled by older politicians, world leaders and business leaders that see the world as it is.
The worlds college students go to school and receive their education acting as an individual. Everyone goes to school solely for them self. While there is nothing wrong with this, a different approach could be to tailer some of the classes and the degreed programs & the schools them self, for one quarter the amount of time in school, to be working collectively with local, national and international business to help solve the worlds biggest, most costly problems all while revolving around a business mind set. After all, isn’t a college actually a business? And aren’t the students getting an education to enter some kind of business upon graduating? And aren’t businesses around the world the ones who are going to employ and seek out the college students upon graduation?
Shouldn’t the business community around the world be the ones to be working on solving the worlds biggest problems? And doing so in a business fashion, where it is profitable for all parties involved?
The college students of the world are neutral. Every country in the world has college students. Every country in the world has businesses. The business community of the world and the college students of the world would both benefit from a program that will put them together to solve the biggest problems of the world.

These are the beginnings of the world’s problems that in solving them could be made into profitable business ventures. Where companies work directly with the future people who will also work in many of their businesses.
These are the types of problems that affect every person in the world. Problems that need massive amounts of creativity to be solved. Problems that undoubtedly need massive amounts of money to be handled. But a business, an industry, does not have the time to focus all its attention to do so. Their job is their business and their industry. They would not be successful and profitable were they to focus all their attention on solving a world problem.
The college students of the world, collectively, have the creativity, have the time and have the numbers of individuals to work together to devise profitable methods. Where solving one or numerous problems at one time, being focused on achieving such results fashioned in a business environment is a direction for solving the biggest and continuing problems of the world.
There are 95 million college students in the world, between the ages or 18 to 30 years old. Just 10% of them, 9.5 million, is by far larger than any number of employees of the worlds largest companies, larger than any one countries military, active and reserve. All that is required to make this happen, is a different way of thinking. Let us not look at the biggest problems of the world as problems. Lets simply change the way of thinking, and look at the problems as opportunity. Opportunity to solve these problems in only a profitable way. Using the work force and creativity of the worlds college students collectively, and allowing them to work directly with the small and large businesses of the world to create solutions that will allow business to grow and the problems to be solved.
